Project objective
Cryogenic high-performance alloys or composite materials can be used in a targeted manner, the potential of superconductors was examined, substructures were investigated and a prototype was built and tested.
- Development of cryogenic structural components for e.g. superconducting magnet technology, energy technology
- Experience in comparing material behavior at cryogenic temperatures with and without a hydrogen atmosphere for projects relating to liquid hydrogen storage and transport
- Standardization work of the institute of test procedures at cryogenic temperatures of additive manufactured structural materials at DIN/ISO
