Liquid-Nitrogen-supply

The liquid nitrogen (LN₂) supply of the He refrigeration systems, the He cleaning system and large experimentation facilities of the ITEP are carried out via a central LN₂ container with a volume of 32,650 liters.

For smaller experiments, LN₂ can also be filled into transport cans. For this purpose, the user receives an identification card with a barcode after instruction and can use it to fill the LN₂ transport cans at a filling station. The amount of LN₂ withdrawn is determined using scales.
